The Daily Dose

I hate Chris Brown. I know that is a strong word and I know hate is a toxic emotion and all that, but I don’t care. I’ll say it again. I hate Chris Brown. More than that, I hate the way the media treats Chris Brown. CNN posted THIS and I went all Insomnia Hulk.

Now it is almost 3AM and I honestly don’t have the mental power or awaked-ness (if it’s not a word it is now!) to make this a pretty, eloquent indictment of the man, so instead I’ll say this: Chris Brown is an asshat. He’s a quintessential jerk. He represents everything that is wrong with a vast number of men in our society, particularly those who are successful.

I don’t care that he apologized (let’s be honest, he isn’t sorry), or that he didn’t perform on the Grammy’s for 3 years (as if he’s entitled to that?), or that he’s had to deal with being called on what he really is—a pathetic excuse for a man. The truth is Chris Brown’s “exile” should never be over. We should have made an example of him so that young men growing up know that hitting a woman is never, ever ok.
